Keeps up with Mail

After a macOS or Mail update, DuperMail checks every command it uses. If one moved, only that shortcut turns off, and it tells you.

Works with VoiceOver

Confirmations and key hints are spoken, so you know what happened without looking.

Everything DuperMail does.

The complete list. Every feature works in Mail's own windows, on every account you have in Mail.

Gmail's keyboard shortcuts in Apple Mail

Keep Apple Mail and use the keys your fingers already know. DuperMail uses Mail's own actions, so your accounts, rules and everything else in Mail keep working as they do now.

  • Move around: next and previous message, step through a conversation, jump between the list and the message, expand or collapse conversations, search, get new mail.
  • Triage: archive, delete, mark as junk, flag, mark as read or unread, mute a conversation, and undo.
  • Archive and keep going: after you archive, delete or move, DuperMail selects the older message (as Mail does) or the newer one, whichever you prefer.
  • Reply: reply, reply all, forward and write a new message, each with a single key. You can make r reply to everyone; Shift+R still replies to just the sender.
  • Go to: two keys take you to All Inboxes, Flagged, Sent, Drafts, Remind Me or Archive (All Mail on Gmail accounts). g l jumps to any mailbox by name.
  • Select several messages: x selects messages one at a time as you move through the list, Gmail-style. You can also select all or none.
Send & Archive

One shortcut sends your reply and archives the message you were answering. Set it as ⌘Return if that's how you work in Gmail.

Snooze

Press b to hide a message until later. Pick Later today, Tomorrow, This weekend or Next week, pick a date and time, or type it in plain words such as "tomorrow 9am", "tuesday" or "2h". The message comes back through Mail's own Remind Me.

Reply Later

Set aside messages you need to answer, without losing them in the inbox. One key flags a message with your Reply Later colour (and archives it, if you like), and another shows the whole pile.

Unsubscribe & Block

Press ⌘U to be done with a sender. DuperMail unsubscribes where the sender offers a way, blocks them in Mail and archives all their mail in the mailbox you're in. It asks first only for several senders at once, or for someone you've written to. One z brings the mail back.

Move, copy and label

Press v to move messages or l to copy them into another mailbox (Gmail's labels). Type a few letters of the mailbox name and press Return.

Quick Filing

Give the mailboxes you file to most their own key. One press moves or copies the selected messages there, and can flag them or mark them as read on the way. One z undoes all of it.

Snippets

Press ⌘; while you write to drop in text you type again and again. A snippet can fill in the recipient's first name, your name and today's date, put the cursor where you'll keep typing, and fill in an empty subject. ⌘Z takes it back out.

Command palette

Press ⌘K to search every action DuperMail can do and run it by name. You don't need to remember a single key.

Pick your keys

Gmail's shortcuts are the default. Choose Superhuman's instead (Return and Escape included), or None: no single-key shortcuts, with ⌘K and the send shortcuts still on hand. Rebind any action on top of any set. Shortcuts follow the characters you type, so they work on non-US layouts, Russian included.

Always shows what happened

A short message confirms each action, with "z to undo" when you can. After g or *, a hint at the bottom of the window shows what you can press next. Inbox Zero mode counts the messages left. Press ? any time to see every shortcut.

Built to keep up with Mail

Works in whatever language Mail is set to. After a macOS or Mail update, DuperMail checks that everything it uses is still there; if something changed, it turns off just the affected shortcuts and tells you which. Works with VoiceOver.

Links to messages

Copy a link to any message and paste it into your notes, tasks or calendar. Clicking the link opens that message in Mail.

Your settings on every Mac

Turn on iCloud Sync to keep your keys, preferences, filing shortcuts and snippets the same on every Mac you use.

Easy to start, easy to switch off

A short setup moves DuperMail to Applications, asks for the one permission it needs, and teaches the first few keys inside Mail. One switch turns it on or off, and you can hide the menu bar icon. Updates install automatically if you want, with an optional beta channel.

Private

Nothing about your mail leaves your Mac. DuperMail never records what you type or what your messages say, and it has no analytics. It goes online only to check for updates and, once you've bought it, to check your license with Polar.

Every key, at a glance.

This is the Gmail set. Press ? in Mail to see it any time, along with your own filing shortcuts.

Questions, answered.

Do I have to stop using Apple Mail?

No, that's the point. Mail stays your mail app and the source of truth. DuperMail only turns keys into Mail's own commands, so your accounts, rules, signatures, Undo and iCloud all work as before.

Does it work with my Gmail, iCloud, Outlook or work account?

It works with any account you have in Mail, because it acts through Mail. On Gmail accounts, g a goes to All Mail, the way Gmail does.

Why does it need Accessibility permission?

To see where the keyboard focus is in Mail, so it acts only in the message list and the message you're reading, and never while you type. That's the one permission it asks for, during a short setup.

Will it get in the way when I write an email?

No. Single-key shortcuts never act in a message you're writing, in search, or in any other app. Only DuperMail's ⌘ shortcuts, such as ⌘Return and ⌘;, act while you write.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

The trial counts only days you actually use DuperMail. Afterwards it keeps working and shows a short reminder every so often until you buy a license.

Which Macs does it run on?

Macs with macOS 26 or later. One license covers up to 3 of your Macs, and iCloud Sync can keep your keys, filing shortcuts and snippets the same on each.

What does DuperMail send over the internet?

Only an update check, and a license check with Polar once you've bought it. It never sends your mail, never records what you type, and has no analytics.

Keep Apple Mail. Add the superpowers.

Free for 14 days of use. No account, no card.
